Antique Water Wheel Page
Pelton Water Wheel Company, 29 inch Pelton Water Wheel.
This wheel is dated September 26, '99... 1899
and it is in very good condition.
Sketchy History:
It served in Western Kittitas County in Washington State, USA
turning an electric generator, first for the construction camps
at Lake Kachess, and Lake Keechelus Dams and
then for the Keechelus Lodge, until commercial power became available.
When we got it, it was very rusty, and the bearings were full of silt and rust,
we cleaned and oiled the bearings, and cleaned and painted the rest.
The nozzle was missing, so the nozzle/flange you see was hand fabricated by a good friend.
